WarCraft, StarCraft… AlmostAnythingCraft. If you ask yourself the question when it will end you will have for answers a little while, because today we’re going to present you a new SomethingCraft game. Yep, that’s right. However it doesn’t have to do a lot with StarCraft or WarCraft. This one is more like SimCity if you ask me ;) Here comes something for each one of you who have crush on biotechnology. Ladies and gentlemen, hereby we present you:

CellCraft

Tadaa! The story is pretty simple – to the world of humanoid platypus approaches the great meteor (or something – I don’t remember right now, whatever – the doomsday is coming, pack your shit – that stuff). In order to save their species the finest biotechnologists drop the idea of putting their DNA into ameba-like protozoan and use it as a living vessel in order to transport safely and at low cost their DNA to another planet, which is distant over 100 years of their best spaceship flight from their homeworld. Upon reaching the destination their DNA will be extracted and a new embryo of their species will be created and grown up. You’ve got the idea, right?

Anyway the game is great because of it’s educative aspects – you are the mentioned before protozoan, which means you are the single cell. And you have to handle all the microbiology cell economics in order to survive, make your cell happy and prosperous. You will have to countless viruses, deal with free radicals, care about ATP production and all organelles  proper functioning. You will learn anything you need to know (almost anything… let’s say high school level) about mitochondria, cytoplasm, chloroplasts, nucleus, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum etc. etc. Seriously if you are going to choose carrier which involves biology or biotechnology you should play this game.
